The Story Behind Paws Together
In 2017, a rescue dog named Bodhi changed the trajectory of my life. As an agricultural scientist, I approached problems methodically, seeking to understand underlying patterns and relationships. Little did I know these same skills would become invaluable in an unexpected journey into dog behavior and training.
The idea for Paws Together came during a quiet moment with Bodhi. Walking together, I realized how years of patient work had created an almost intuitive connection between us. Those moments of seeming synchronicity – when we each understand and respond to the other's signals – showed me what's possible when we invest in creating genuine two-way dialogue with our dogs.
My background in science influences my approach to dog training. I value observation, pattern recognition, and the unique relationship between each dog and their person. The moments that make me pause and reflect with Bodhi continue to shape my methodology, reminding me that true behavior change success comes from understanding and connection.
